The GoPro Hero line of cameras now comes in a variety or models from the original Hero to the Hero wide versions to the new HD 1080p/720p/960p capture model.

The Hero HD camera does need a fast computer processor ( equivalent to a P4 1.5 GHz or faster and plenty of ram ) to view or edit footage. The HD camera can also be hooked directly to a TV to enjoy your footage you captured. Cables included in the kit to plug into your TV and your computer.

Now if you have a slower computer recording in 720p mode over the 1080p mode helps. It is the 1080p mode that takes computer resources.

Do not cheap out on a SDHC card for the HD camera. A class 4 card is min and we ( and also GoPro ) recommend a Kingston SDHC class 4 card - available in our PayPal store and online fax in order form.

Both SD and HD GoPro camera's do take awesome footage - I had family over recently and played some 720p and 1080p footage on my 60" HDTV and they said this little camera took this clear HD video! Yes, it did!
